Dr Bhavesh Kishor Doshi

Dr Bhavesh Doshi graduated from the University of Nottingham in 1997 and trained as a specialist gastroenterologist at the Mersey Deanery (Liverpool training programe). He then completed an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship (at the Mersey School of Endoscopy) with his focus on Endoscopic therapy in Pancreatico-biliary diseases, cancer diagnosis and therapy. During this time, he was awarded the British Society of Gastroenterology award to visit the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston, US.

Over the past 20 years, Dr Bhavesh Doshi has developed and cultivated his practice in endoscopy, having performed more than 15000 scopes both in the UK and in Singapore. These ranged from the simplest diagnostic scopes to the most complex scopes with a referral base extending across hospitals in Singapore and internationally.

Dr Doshi served as Endoscopy director at NUHS between 2017- 2020. Today, he remains a Visiting Consultant at NUHS and NTFGH to help with complex endoscopic procedures.

During his storied career at NUHS, Dr Doshi was the lead ERCP operator for post liver transplant complex biliary strictures, leaks, and disconnected ducts. 

In addition, Dr Doshi performed tertiary level endoscopy for pancreatic lesions such as pancreatic cancer, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours, pancreatic cyst diagnosis and drainage of pancreatic cyst.

Dr Doshi is a firm believer in multidisciplinary care and was regularly involved with Pancreatobiliary tumour board and liver transplant meetings when at NUHS and was also the founding member of the original pancreas clinic at NUHS.

Mentoring & Trainership

He was endoscopy training director at NUH and was also co-director of SHOLEC (Singapore Live Hands on Endoscopy Course) at NUHS. He regularly travels internationally to perform and teach endoscopy at conferences and meetings. The most recent being at the request of the Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology (Endoscopy 2022).
